Lessons from Loved Ones
Arting Ways and Hospice of Santa Cruz County are collaborating on a community altar for the Pajaro Valley Arts Council's annual celebration of Dia de los Muertos. The theme this year is Lessons From Loved Ones, and we are interpreting this in the form of a how-to library. Alongside commemorative book art created by several local artists and actual lesson books passed down to us, we are installing a whole bookcase for your lessons...
If your loved ones had authored a book entailing the lessons they taught you, what would be that book's title? Visit the exhibit to put your title and author on the spine of a book, and it will be forever part of this unique library that we all create together. The exhibit is at the PVA house 10/18/2017 through 12/10/2017, with an Opening Reception 10/29/2017 2-4 p.m.
